Linksys WRT310g 4 Port Wireless Router
The design of the Linksys WRT310N 4 port wireless router is sleek (the antennas are internal), and the performance proves you don't need rabbit-ear antennas to obtain good range. In both short- and long-range performance tests, the Linksys WRT310n 4 port wireless router (single-band router) did much better than its competition in the same budget area. Some of the routers bested by the Linksys WRT310N were the Belkin N 4 port Wireless Router F5D8233-4 v3 and the D-Link Wireless N Router DIR-615 vB2. Its clear superiority over the low-end routers is probably due to its having an extra antenna, which provides more diversity in the distribution of its signal. Good performance throughout was seen throughout the 1400 square foot test site, obviating the need to use a second access point to cover dead spots. This is fortunate, since, unlike the Netgear, the Linksys doesn't support wireless range extension.
