ATT 2700 HG-B 4 Port Wireless Router
The 2Wire 2790hg-b Gateway modem is one of the only off-the-shelf products ATT Internet will support. ATT has an approved list of products it will support on its network. The 2 wire ATT 2700HG-b4 port wireless router is one of the products on their "approved list." There are many superior products on the market that are not on the approved list.Out of the box, this modem is very easy to set up. I simply plugged it in, and as soon as I pulled up a web page, it went straight to ATT's site, connected, and automatically configured. It was a breeze and worked the first time.
The provided instructions that come with the equipment are terrible, but you can use Google to find help if you need to tweak any of the settings. Router settings are accessed by typing "home portal in your browser.
The ATT 2700HG-B4 port wireless router is a "Gateway Modem. What this means is it is a modem as wellas a router in one unit. It is a 4 network ports, plus wireless router, allowing you to connect 4 units to the router. I found the wireless setup to be a breeze.
